Automatic mode uses tank flow: Collects substrate-surface debris and floating fine particles at the same time. Performance varies by placement and flow direction.

Handheld mode is surface only: Clean slowly along the substrate surface. Never stir or disturb the deep layer.

Recirculating filtration keeps water in the tank: Water returns to the aquarium while debris stays in the sponge filter. Remove waste without draining tank water.

Air-lift suction reduces crushing: Lifts debris without crushing it to help reduce cloudiness. Powered by an air pump recommended at 1.5 to 2 W. Air pump not included.

Critical setup + size selection: Choose by water depth from substrate to surface — Small (7–10.6 in), Medium (10.6–17.7 in), Large (13.8–23.6 in). Keep the sponge filter fully submerged and positioned about 0.4 inch below the water surface.

Sponge cleaning: Use tap water, and always knead the sponge underwater. The 60 PPI high-density sponge captures fine particles, so clogging can reduce flow. Kneading helps flush out buildup and restore flow. Replace the sponge if flow does not recover after thorough cleaning.

V2 upgraded parts: Soft-PE filter cap is easier to spot and helps reduce accidental loss during cleaning. The redesigned polycarbonate pipe connector provides a tighter, more secure fit.
